As I mentioned in my 2012 review of the David Ridges series of books, All the electronic editions had errors, but this one was the wrong book. When I heard the electronic books were re-issued and mistakes were corrected, I tried to download the new editions. The download didn't work. It took a call to Amazon Customer Service. They had to MANUALLY delete the book from my Amazon library (Warning, if YOU delete it from your online library, you have to repurchase it!!) While on the phone with Amazon Customer Service, I was instructed to delete the books from all my kindles, the Customer Service Representative then added the books back into my library. Once I downloaded the newly added, corrected editions, I was able to view the corrected books. I'm not quite sure why some kindle books do not automatically update. Even though my account is set to "Allow Automatic Updates" I was still not able to download the updated version on my own. The entire series of ".....Made Easier" by David Ridges is amazing. This gentleman has a way of explaining things so that I can understand better than with any other scripture supplements. Ridges brings in background information and current customs that help make me make more sense of what was done and said. Thank-you Cedar Fort for finally reformatting these books. Thank-you David Ridges for a brilliantly written series of books, and Thank-you Amazon Customer Service for helping to over-ride the problems with automatic updating.I'm adjusting my Rating from a "ONE STAR" due to the wrong book content being offer to the "FIVE STAR" rating that the author deserves. I would LOVE to see AMAZON separate reviews by format. Books on Tape, Paper, and Electronic books all have the same limited format for review and those reviews are not sorted by types. Amazon needs to revamp their review process to allow separate categories for the content, format, etc. This would allow poor reviews due to bad narration or poorly formatted electronic editions to be judged separately so they did NOT reflect on the content.

"If I could give ten stars to David Ridges for the paper version, I would. But if I could give ZERO stars to whoever does the electronic formatting, I would do that also! Unfortunately, the lowest rating I can give is ONE STAR. Thanks to the first person to review this book who tipped me off, ... They reported their Old Testament Volume three repeatedly downloaded as volume ONE. Because of their experience, I decided to check my Kindle edition of "David Ridges Old Testament Made Easier PART THREE" as well. I too open the book, only to find out the file actually contains the FIRST volume.
Unfortunately, I have noticed ALL twelve of my Electronic Kindle editions from CEDAR FORT have HORRIBLE formatting. This is the only one, however, that has the WRONG book.
I have yet to read one of CEDAR FORTS Kindle books that live up the the quality the authors deserve. Fortunately I have all David Ridges books in paper format, I only use the Kindle format for convenience in travel or in my bag for church meetings. Unfortunately I purchased this Kindle book, with several other books, last September (4 months ago) and it's too late for a refund. Hopefully Amazon, David Ridges and CEDAR FORT will evaluate their quality control on electronic books and reformat, then RE-ISSUE all their David Ridges books

I absolutely love this book. I have a hard time understanding a lot of the scriptures so this is awesome.
I have learn so much about the background of the writings
On my iPad ( App), the cover for The Old Testament Made Easier, PART 3 is there. The headers on all the pages say PART 3. However, the content is all PART 1 (Book of Moses, Book of Abraham, Genesis). I've deleted and re-downloaded two times, but it's still the same PART 1. Just look at the sample, you'll see what I mean.
If/when Cedar Fort or fix this, I'll update my review.
UPDATE Cedar Fort has fixed the error. I haven't noticed the formatting issues others have mentioned, as I only use this for reference. I too had already purchased the paperback copy, and am now thrilled to have David Ridges' comments on Isaiah and Jeremiah and all the others, with me, wherever I go.
I tried the sample and downloaded the book on 2/19/12. It is working correctly now. I agree with the other reviewer that the formatting is poor on these books from Ridges but the content and his insights are GREAT! The content definitely makes up for the shortcomings in the formatting. Greatful to have access to these great books! Thanks Bro Ridges!
I have loved reading this book along with the other 2 volumes. It offers great insights into the Old Testament and helps me to understand it in a much deeper and spiritual way.
I was some what disappoint in the old Testament Meade easier. I have several of David as Ridges other books and thoroughly live them but old Testament made escort isn't like his other works were he goes verse by verse. This work only sites a few verses and moves on.
I much prefer his other style.
How many of us avoid reading the Old Testament because it is so challenging to understand and wade through? This book is a wonderful compamion to explain and rephrase and clarify this portion of the scriptures. I have used some of his other books in my study of the Bible and it is tremendously helpful. I didn't give 5 stars because he skips over some of the books. I am studying Ezekiel and he only barely touches on that book. But for an LDS student of the scriptures his series of books is very enlightening. Highly recommended!
